Paid Ads

You're spending money on ads. But is it actually coming back?

Most small businesses waste a quarter of their ad budget on clicks that never turn into sales. I find the waste and fix it.

1.4x to 3.0xreturn on ad spend, from a real campaign

Is this you?

  • You're running Google or Facebook ads but you're not sure if they're making money
  • Someone set up your ads months ago and nobody has looked at them since
  • You get clicks but not many sales
  • You don't really understand what you're paying for each month
  • Your ad account feels like a mess and you're afraid to change anything

What I actually do

01

Find the waste

Most ad accounts have 20-40% of budget going to things that don't work. I audit the account, find what's wasting money, and stop it.

02

Fix where people land

The ad might be fine but the page it sends people to isn't selling. I fix the pages so the clicks actually turn into customers.

03

Write ads people click on

Generic ads get ignored. I write ads that match what people are actually searching for, so the right people click.

04

Track what matters

Proper tracking so you know which ads lead to actual sales. Not just clicks and impressions.

What this looked like in practice

From 1.4x to 3.0x ROAS: turning around non-brand paid search

1.4x

Starting ROAS

3.0x

Final ROAS

Up to £80k

Monthly spend managed

The non-branded campaigns were meant to bring in new customers. Instead they were losing money. Every pound spent on Google and Meta was returning just £1.40. After costs, that's a loss.

The product was a premium reading light selling at over £300. Buyers had done their research. They cared about eye strain, light quality, and finding something that would last. Generic ads weren't speaking to any of that. I rewrote the ads to match what people were actually searching for, and rebuilt the landing pages to match the messaging.

There was no single moment where it all clicked. Each month the account got slightly better. Small improvements in copy, bid strategy, audience targeting, and landing pages stacked up over time. Meta reached positive ROAS under direct management. Spend scaled to £80k per month while staying profitable.

By the end, non-brand had gone from a money pit to a reliable acquisition channel at 3.0x ROAS.

Common questions

Which ad platforms do you work with?

Mostly Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram). I've also run campaigns on Microsoft Ads.

How much should I be spending on ads?

It depends on your business and margins. I can help you work out the right budget. There's no minimum to work with me.

How long before ads start working?

You can see results within days. But it usually takes a few months of testing and refining to get the best performance.

Can you manage my ads ongoing?

Yes. Monthly retainers for ad management start from £1,000. That includes regular reporting and optimisation.

What if my ads are already running?

I'll start with an audit. I'll look at what's working, what isn't, and where the money is going. Then we decide what to change.

Want me to look at your ads?

Send me access to your ad account and I'll tell you where the waste is. No charge for the first look.
