I'm Josh.
I've spent nine years at the same company. Not because I couldn't leave, but because I kept finding new problems worth solving.
I joined Serious Readers in 2016 as a Digital Marketing Specialist. Now I'm Head of Marketing, leading a team, owning a £2m budget, and reporting to the board.
Along the way, I took email from £50k to over £1m in annual revenue. Turned a loss-making Google Ads account into a profitable channel. Led a full Shopify replatform. Ran TV campaigns, national press, direct mail. Built a team of six.
Most marketers job-hop every two years. I stayed and went deep. That's the difference.

A bit about me
I live in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, about an hour from London. I work from home most of the time, which suits me fine.
I'm a morning person. I do my best thinking before 10am, usually with a coffee that's gone cold because I got distracted by something.
Outside of work, I read a lot (mostly non-fiction, mostly about business). I walk everywhere. I'm learning to be better at switching off. It's a work in progress.
I reply to emails the same day. I flag problems early. I don't disappear when things get difficult.
Want to work together?
I take on a small number of consulting clients alongside my full-time role. If you think I could help, let's have a conversation.
